The Third Floor

The third-floor landing contains the uppermost set of double doors for the elevator. This was likely used to transport guests to the ballroom originally on the 3rd floor.

Next to the bathroom is the storeroom with its original sink. When built it contained 2 large sets of built-in cabinets. One set of cabinets was moved into the bedroom of the back apartment. This allowed enough space for this room to become a kitchen for what became an apartment.

The southern half of the 3rd floor contains the original bathroom that includes a skylight.

The remaining space, originally the ball room for the house, got broken up into a hall way and bedroom space with the rest of the being left as the living room. It still contains the original fireplace which at some point, likely in the 30s, was converted to a gas unit.

The back side of the 3rd floor was originally used for storage. In the 60s it was converted into an apartment and was divided into a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom.
